Oliver Scott – 9 Months

9 months. Every month I’m amazed at his progress, but he’s done a lot between 8 and 9 months. For one, he’s finally crawling. Full speed ahead. He’d been going backward and in circles for a while, and saved the front crawl until he had fully perfected it.

I’m lucky in that I actually got to witness the first crawl. I know as a working parent I won’t be there for every milestone, but I was hope with him for Christmas break and he got up on all fours and took off. He almost immediately after that started pulling up on his knees, so I’m sure pulling to standing won’t be too far off.

He also went on his first plane ride, and was a total champ. He slept the whole time, which was a relief because we were understandably pretty nervous.

He’s also been eating more foods, and lately we’ve been giving him things he can pick up and feed himself. He doesn’t always get them into his mouth, or it takes several tries, but  he really likes it. I’m sensing a bit of an independent spirit.

He weighs 20 pounds and 10 ounces. And nights are still tough, but boy are the days starting to get crazy.
